Influenced by the old-time, cajun and country music she loves, Chenda's original songs explore the same feelings of longing and search for home through strong melodies and sparse electric guitar. Philadelphia’s City Paper calls her music “sweetly neatly stunning”. In addition to her solo project Chenda also plays upright bass and sings with The Old Fashioneds and The Four Prophet String Band.
